This Siberian Elm was purchase from Glenbrook Nursery in April 2010.  It was being grown in a bread basket, but I felt it had some potential.  I particularly liked the bark texture and the nebari.

Here is it's story so far.......................

After a haircut the tree looked a bit better, but even more so when it was planted into a large pot.

The tree was left to settle in the pot and to grow roots during 2011.

The foliage was reduced further, and some of the branches carved to introduce taper.

In April 2012, the tree was repotted into a smaller pot and positioned to show off the Nebari.

By October the foliage had begun to fill out a bit......................

By the following May 2013 the foliage is still filling out.............

I'm not sure about the table though ?

The following June 2014 (see below) things are still progressing well.

It is often said that decidious trees should be assed when they have no foliage - I.E. in the middle of Winter. This tree certainly looks good  with no leaves - here it is in December 2018.

By the summer of 2021, I felt the tree was less good.  The foliage had been left to go during the pandemic, but the  tree was looking pale and unhappy.  I gave it a trim but there is to big a gap on the right hand side that I need to work on.
